The Wayne Stater Promo

I'm working on a feature-length documentary about the Wayne Stater, the official paper of Wayne State College. The documentary covers the process of putting the paper together every week and the paper's impact on the Wayne State College community. This short promo was a sort of proof-of-concept for that larger project. Stay tuned for the upcoming documentary!

Silence Your Phone or Be Silenced

This was made for a competition in the film department at Wayne State College to create a silence your phone promo for the local theater. This promo was made by Kaydence Cihacek, Madison Dvorak, Mackinzie Arnholt, and me. I was involved with the writing, acting, lighting, production sound design, editing, coloring, post-production sound, and graphics. This entry got first place in the competition and is currently playing before screenings at the Majestic Theater in Wayne, Nebraska.

PCC Recruitment Video

The longer of two recruitment videos I made for Polk County Conservation while interning there. It was paramount that we showcase the variety of roles and job types that the department comprises, so I spoke with individuals serving in a range of functions, from naturalists to park rangers to administrators. It was fun learning about all these roles and how they come together to make Polk County Conservation what it is.

One of two recruitment videos I made for Polk County Conservation while interning there. I made a longer, 2-minute recruitment video, but they wanted a shorter cut as well that could be used for a variety of applications.

Water Quality Monitoring Program

A video I made while interning for Polk County Conservation about their water quality monitoring program. For 10 years now, Polk County Conservation has engaged in water quality monitoring across the county. The goal of this video was to educate those who may not be familiar with the program and encourage viewers to get involved.

What's In Our Water

An educational video on water I made while interning for Polk County Conservation. There's a lot of chemicals in waterways that we often don't realize, and the purpose of this video was to inform the public on these contents. I had the pleasure of talking to ecologist Amanda Brown to learn about these contents and the impact they can have on the environment.

Animal Ambassadors: Amphibians

This is one of three videos I made in a series called "Animal Ambassadors" while I was interning at Polk County Conservation. Each video aimed to educate viewers about a type of animal found in Iowa. Working with animals for these videos posed a unique challenge, but was also rewarding. This video talks about amphibians, and specifically frogs and toads.

Working with animals for these videos posed a unique challenge, but was also rewarding. This video talks about reptiles, including a couple of snakes and turtles.

This is one of three videos I made in a series called "Animal Ambassadors" while I was interning at Polk County Conservation. Each video aimed to educate viewers about a type of animal found in Iowa. Working with animals for these videos posed a unique challenge, but was also rewarding. This video talks about owls, and specifically Luna, a great horned owl that Polk County Conservation cares for.

Goats on the Go

This is one of the videos I put together while interning for Polk County Conservation, IA. The educational video was designed to highlight one of the many conservation projects that Polk County Conservation is engaged in: namely, using goats to clear out invasive plants. While goats may not be the most cooperative of actors, this project was a lot of fun to work on.

Sleepy Hollow Recruitment Video

A recruitment video I put together for Sleepy Hollow Sports Park in Des Moines, IA. Among other things, the park offers a year-round sledding hill for guests to enjoy. I talked to several staff members at the park and got plenty of footage of them at work and their dynamic with each other.
